Capturing a moment – with family pictures it can be tricky to get everyones attention at the same time and little ones tire out rather quickly! These two little ones kept me on my toes but I loved every min of it. Its hard to break the ice with children, its a stranger that wants to take their picture but with the help of mum and dad the ice soon melted and we got the sweetest smiles out of them.

With smaller babies it is so much easier to get them to smile when they warm up to me, the struggle comes with the ‘older’ children who are more aware of a camera and taking pictures hence we sometimes get a ‘cheese’. Its at this point that I tend to wait before I click my shutter because often for a brief moment you can get the ‘I feel silly saying cheese’ and the real smile comes out as they giggle to themselves ;)

Children are so truthful and that raw emotion always shows on the faces you just have to wait for it…
