Maternity Leave – up and coming!!

I should have put this up a few weeks ago but I guess I have been in denial about welcoming another little being into our world in a few short weeks! (I say short as the time is whizzing by!)

Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled at the idea of meeting my new little bundle of joy and everything is ready (well we have everything, now it is just a matter of setting up the nursery!)

I will be going off on maternity leave end of March 2014.

At present I am still taking on newborn sessions in my home studio set-up but no location sessions for newborns (due to the amount of equipment I need to bring) and no family sessions (chasing toddlers at this present moment is proving to be difficult and I unable to ‘run/walk/move quickly’ after the little ones!)

I plan to start taking on sessions again around July 2014 for both Newborn/Maternity sessions – location and home studio set-up and limited family sessions. If you would like to book a session for then please do get in touch, I will be changing my pricing packages in the next few months (April 2014) and anything booked before I change will be able to have it at the 2013 fee!

Funny how things change second time around and how much quicker time passes! With my first little one I had started preparing myself and buying baby clothes at 6 weeks of my pregnancy. This time I thought I have been so disorganised but with 13 weeks to go all we need to do is wash the clothes, put up the cot and pack the maternity bag!  Maybe I dragged it out the first time but who can forget the excitement the first time round. The first pregnancy went by day.by.day.by.day, I was so excited to meet junior and I had read every page of the ‘What to expect’ by the time she had arrived!!! Now I barely have a moment to sit down and enjoy the little kicks, when I am sitting down I am constantly trying to prevent my toddler from kicking the belly or jumping on it – she too is so excited about welcoming this little one into our lives, asking when we can go and fetch the baby.

So now you know my news :) I will post pics of our little bundle once baby is here!

If you would like further details for other newborn/family photographers in the area whilst I am on maternity leave, please do contact me and I can pass on their details.

Michelle xx

PS I am excited to say that we will be having professional pictures taken of our family! It is so important to capture precious memories but just as important to be apart of those memories too – I will finally be in front of the camera!! ;)
