The newborn photographs are a wonderful treasure to look at once the newborn phase passes. Will you remember the bubbles that gather on their lips or the eyelashes that fall softly on their delicate little face. A cheeky grin or thinking face – it all changes in a blink of an eye. I know that having a newborn is both magical and unpredictable at the same time, I also understand that with a newborn things always don’t go to plan but my aim is to make sure that you do not feel stressed or pressured. I prefer to focus on the purity of a newborn baby or the emotional bond between a mother and her child rather than have to many props to focus on. I love to use a few family heirlooms or gifts as I love making the images unique to the family.

I understand that being photographed when you are heavily pregnant may not be something that you feel overjoyed about but also that you want to remember and capture this time in your life so that you can always cherish it. The soft curve of your bump, the wonderful image of your baby growing and the excitement and expectation that can be seen in your face at the thought of meeting your little one are all unique and intimate moments that deserve to be captured. I recommend that these sessions are held in my private studio as this allows you to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible and gives you total privacy.

Family sessions can be outdoor, in your home or in the studio. Each session creates a different feel and it depends on what you are after. Feeling relaxed in your own home and capturing memories of a time when your little ones are still small. Outdoors can create an excitement and adventure to let them roam free - for more natural times. Studio can be fun but is more posed, looking at the camera. All types of sessions depend on your family's personality and totally up to you.
